Every morning I wake up to find one of my neighbors out by the fence, which shields the wilderness from our complex, with a mug of food in his hand. He reaches over, and sets food for squirrels on the inside of the fence, and on the limbs of trees. He also sets out food for the stray cats in the area, as does my neighbor next door. This morning I found him with the neighborhood black stray, petting him, and stripping his coat. (the cats I mean). I wish you guys could here the conversation he was carrying with this cat. "Now I'm gonna brush your back, so please don't scratch me. Do you like this? Oh! I said no scratching sir. Now lets try this again..." Its amazing to me, to find humans who still have true affection for such animals. This world ain't so cold after all.

Oh Weekend..
How I miss the joy you brought upon me..
Whether it'd be that bike ride you gave me the idea for, or that Greek dinner with the Grandparents you invited me to, or all the dog and cat fights you brought into the house, or the time we had to take Mosey home to keep my Dad from knowing there was such an animal in his home, or that soccer game you dragged me to, or that late night IHOP dinner you paid for. Thank you Weekend.

Feels Like Home
Driving home from work tonight, I was feeling strange. I've been forced to rethink my life lately, and make big decisions that could potentially make or break me depending on how it's handled, specifically, these next few months are huge and could change my life for the better or the worse. So I've been thinking about myself as a human being, and figuring out if I like the way I've become based off my choices this past year. Anyways, as I was driving home, and planning out the rest of my week, and thinking of the hectic times I have ahead of me, I was feeling overwhelmed and scared. I drive up to the stop light at Sunrise and Madison, ready to turn left, cop behind me (like usual), Beirut in the stereo, pomegranate seeds in my lap, windows down, I look to my right, and there was a little red car stopped next to me and inside was a lady with blonde hair, probably early 40's, and wearing a red jacket. She looks my way, and with the most simple lightness, she smiles. It was possibly the most genuine smile I have ever received. It actually made me forget about all that silly stuff I was worrying about before, and all at once, I felt like I was home. But before I could return the gesture, the light turns green. All I wanted to do was follow this woman, and get to know her. How old was she? What does she do? Does she have a family? Does she like Mexican food as much as I do? Does she know who Sigur Ros is? (Doubt it.) Does she smile like this to every one just to be nice? These were all questions that swarmed through my head. But, soon enough, Hackberry Lane came all too quickly, and my journey ended.

Downtown Again...Finally!
Why, hello there!
Nice to meet you!
I found this little guy sneaking out of the crack of my couch. He must be missing his old family, because you see, they're the previous owners of this couch that I live on. He must've been playing Hide 'n Seek with his buddy Jim, but got lost down there in the darkness, and never made his way out, until now!

Breakfast :)
Egg salad on wheat.
Custom sliced salami and mozzarella cheese with wheat crackers.
Yummy grapes.
Chocolate soy milk.
Perfect start to my day.

Speaking of start of day, today in history:
1582-Because of the implementation of the Gregorian calendar this day does not exist in this year in Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain.
1773-The Whirlpool Galaxy is discovered by Charles Messier.
1917-The "Miracle of the Sun" is witnessed by an estimated 70,000 people in the Cova da Iria in Fátima, Portugal.

Ohhh Hallow's Ween.
Sheraton Apartments...
What can I say? My manager is passionate about holidays. She spends days and hours and minutes and seconds decorating for these special days of the year. She's so legit, that she has actually been on the news for her Christmas display a year ago.
These photos don't give her justice.
Do you see the skeleton drowning in the pool?

In the words of...
"The way i see it: the earth is like a big bowl of candy that some lazy-ass leaves on their front porch on halloween with a little sign that says "please take one". now, we can sit here and be "polite" and just take one. or maybe two.... or, we can just scoop up the whole thing untill our pockets was fat and no one would even know who dunit. chew on that. (thats what she said)"

Hold your shoulders back, and remember who you are...
I often wonder if when people look at me, or wonder what I'm doing, if they find me to be mysterious, and strange, and want to know more about me, or if I'm so easily readable by sight that they know exactly what I'm thinking and feeling, and how I see them and what I see in them. However, after sitting in Chipotle for an hour, eating by myself, near the window, watching the people walk passed me, and meeting with their girlfriends, and meeting with their friends, and walking over from a long day in school, and striking deals with web designers, and flipping off the person who almost ran into you while you were cutting off the next person, I realized, that people are far too preoccupied with their own concerns and probably don't ponder about things quite as deeply as I do.
